One day I was listening to the radio while I was washing the dishes. Just as I finished drying them the man on the radio announced that there was going to be a phone in competition for children and the prize was a trip to N.A.S.A. to see a space shuttle. Whoever won could bring their whole class with them. He called out the number and I ran as fast as I could to the phone. I dialled the number as fast as I could. I couldnít believe it. I had got through to the radio station. The man that answered the phone asked me my name, age, phone number and my address. The next thing I knew I was talking to the man on the radio. I was so nervous I didnít know what to say. Then he asked me the question. The question was who was the first man on the moon? The answer was Neil Armstrong. They took a break and told me all the details. I was so excited. I was to go to Dublin and get a plane to America.When I went to school the next day I told everyone about where we were going and when. We couldnít wait to get to Florida.  ÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝ When we got to the airport I was so excited that I nearly got sick. I didn't like the plane very much but I was too nervous to care. A lot of usÝ tried to sleep on the plane but we just couldn't.  ÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝ When we got off the plane there were people waiting to meet us.We got into a big car and we started the drive. It was a  long enough drive but I didn't mind.My friend Emma asked one of the men would we be allowed to get into a shuttle. He told us that he was only our driver and he knew nothing about what we were going to be doing.All he knew was that he would be driving us where ever we wanted to go. When we finally got there we were all brought into a tiny little room and we were given suits to wear.We went into a space shuttle and to our suprise the door closed before we could get out. Then we got a real shock when we heard the noise of an engine starting. We pounded on the door but nobody heard us.A few hours later one of us had the guts to look out the window. I couldn't believe it we were in outer space. When the shuttle stopped we went out side. We walked around for awhile until we heard a scream. Then I noticed that Kate was missing . We ran to where we thought the scream was coming from. We saw Kate standing infront of a little ball of purple slime. It had eyes,a nose and a weird looking mouth. It looked scared. Michelle went over to it and held out her hand. It started to back away but Michelle got down on her knees and the ball of slime came over to her. We all started to laugh because Kate had been afraid of the little slime ball. We had a great time with slime. We were walking around the shuttle when we heardÝ someone in one of the rooms. We looked in and saw one of the men from N.A.S.A. space station. Then he told us he was able to get us home.Ý  ÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝÝ We said goodbye to slime and got back into the shuttle and Aoife started to cry. It took us ages to get her to stop. We were sorry we had to go but we were happy to get home to our famlies.  The End  Ý
